What is faith?
I bring you greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. God indeed has called us to a journey of faith. For the Word declares, "(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)". From its root verb 'peitho', faith is a Divine Persuasion. The Greek Word Studies says that "the Lord persuades the yielded believer to be confident in His preferred will". One rendition, in the NASU says, 'In sum, faith (4102/pistis) is a persuasion from God that we receive as He grants impulse ("divine spark")', that Divine Spark is experiential. Thayer's Greek Lexicon defines substance as: "That which has actual existence; a substance, real being." The God-kind of faith vs just human confidence is real, it's experiential, it's divine persuasion, it brings us the supernaturality of God's presence and power! That's how we got or get saved in the fifirst place…by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and also as God has dealt to everyone a measure of faith in Rom. 12:3. Praise God for faith. Praise God for saving us, Alleluia! Let's go a little further, to Hebrews Chapter 11:1, a very familiar scripture that says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Faith is NOW, Praise God! The 'is' used here being an equative verb and showing continuing action. So, this Faith is 'the Substance', which in the Greek lexicon is rendered as "title-deed", title to a promise or property. It is legal ownership, like the title ownership of a real estate property. It is God's Warranty that Guarantees His promises.

You have the ownership NOW before physically sighting, feeling or receiving it. It is the real being; it is that which has actual existence. YOU will notice the same Scripture in Heb. 11:1, says that Faith has to do with things hoped for, not 'hopelessed for'. What is the meaning of Biblical Hope? …'Confident Expectation in that which is real or certain'. Praise God Almighty!!! Don t let vision blockers kill your dream(s)… IT IS THE PROOF OF WHAT IS NOT SEEN FAITH has its own PROOF or Evidence or Conviction. Faith is proof that what you have believed the Lord for, according to His will already exists and that you are already the owner of that miracle, Alleluia! So, we are not looking for proof of faith because Faith is the proof of things not seen, the title-deed, that which has actual existence, the real being, the miracle that just happened to you, in the Mighty Name of Jesus!
